Hi! I am Emma and I am from Manchester in the United Kingdom.I have been living and working in Korea for almost seven years now. I started my teaching career at two middle schools in the Jeonpo area of Busan before making the switch to Pagoda Seomyeon in March 2020. After four incredible years teaching adults in Busan, I decided to challenge myself, and made the move to Pagoda Gangnam in April 2024.I am passionate about helping people achieve their English goals, with a focus on giving people the time and space they need to practise their English skills in a warm and comfortable environment. I aim to those who join my classes conversationally by bringing interesting and thought-provoking discussion topics to the table. In addition, I believe listening skills are crucial to smooth, fluent conversations and therefore, I aim to improve people’s listening abilities through the use of engaging YouTube videos which deal with everything current and up-to-date, including advancements in technology such as A.I. and global issues like the environment. In my free time, I love to read books, watch films, go to the gym, hike, and explore the many cool and vibrant neighbourhoods in Seoul.I hope to see you in my class!
